2021 has already proved to be a busy year for phone launches, and Sony Xperia 1 III is going to release in the month of April, 2021.  Check out the dates below.

The predecessors of the Sony Xperia 1 III were all launched around the time of February, and so the road began with the Samsung Galaxy S21, Xiaomi Mi11 and OnePlus 9, it could be the second big smartphone launched in 2021. The latest iteration is that Sony's premium smartphone is expected to come with impressive specs, useful features and a powerful price.

The name 'Sony Xperia 1 III' may sound confusing on paper, but it will definitely be called a phone. Sony uses the 'Mark' naming scheme for its phones just like its cameras, so the Xperia 1 'Mark 3' will feature a third of its line, followed by the Xperia 1 II and Xperia 1.

We've heard some leaks and rumors surrounding the Sony Xperia 1 III, so we've gathered them all down for your understanding.

Below that, we've compiled a wishlist of features we'd like to see in the phone. There are a number of ways to improve the Sony Xperia 1 II - Tucker has given it a 4-star review, so there's definitely room for Sony's next flagship phone to take its game forward.

Sony's last phone was the Xperia 5 II, an improvement over the year on its Xperia 5, and that new device is currently the company's best smartphone. Only time will tell whether the Xperia 1 III steals that crown, or falls short of expectations.

What is this Sony's next flagship smartphone

How much will it cost? Probably $ about 3 1,370 / £ 995 / AU $ 1,810

Sony Xperia 1 III release date and price

Sony has confirmed that it will be hosting a digital media conference on April 14 - which could mark the possible launch date of the Sony Xperia 1 III.

The event will be broadcast on the company's official YouTube channel at 12:30 am PT / 3:30 am ET / 8:30 am BST / 8:30 pm ACT.

Historically, Sony has announced his latest Xperia smartphones at MWC Barcelona, which usually takes place in February. MWC 2021 has been postponed, however, due to travel and travel restrictions imposed on the Covid-19 global epidemic.

The Xperia 1 II unveiled a full year after the original Xperia 1 in February 2020, but many months before that date we now expect the Xperia 1 III to arrive between April and June.

A recent leak suggested April 14 as a possible release date, however, even if this were true, it took Sony three months to bring the Xperia 1 II to the shelves after its announcement, so we waited a few months for it to be released. Buy a must see.

'Sony Xperia 1 III' Release Date, Price, News and Leaks

When it comes to price, the same leak indicates a price of 8999 Chinese yuan, which converts to about $ 1,370 / £ 995 / AU $ 1,810. It is significantly higher, but is expected to outperform its predecessor (around $ 1,199.99 / £ 1,099 / AU $ 1,840).

News and rumors of Sony Xperia 1 III

We've heard plenty of Sony Xperia 1 III design rumors, and it looks similar to its predecessor in terms of looks. Check out this video of the phone, showing both sides of it, and we're sure you'll agree with us.

Those pictures show rumors of something being a 'shortcut' button, but we don't know what this does right now. Sony phones previously had shutter buttons to mimic the feeling of using a real camera when you're using a phone.

Speaking of the camera, we've heard that the Sony Xperia 1 III may have a Paris ope lens on the snappers. This type of lens, in the case of Xperia phones, allows long distance zooming, possibly 5x to 10x.

It also looks like the selfie camera will get an upgrade for the next Xperia phone, with a huge aperture likely to bring major improvements. The same source also suggested that the phone will have the same display as its predecessor - i.e., a 6.5-inch 4K display with a 21: 9 aspect ratio - but the maximum brightness will be 15% higher.

Under the hood, the Xperia 1 III can pack the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 chipset - a benchmark for premium phones in 2021 and has 12GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage (16GB RAM and 512GB storage in the premium variant).

This leads to a final rumor nicely suggesting that the Sony Xperia 1 III doesn’t come alone - a premium and compact model could also get in the way. We've heard later that the latter could be the Sony Xperia Compact, a smaller phone with mid-range specs that probably won't share the name of the Xperia 1 III. One expects the Xperia 1 III Premium to boast even higher-end specs than the 'Standard' version, not the minimum storage capacity mentioned above.

What we want to see

Sony’s next flagship is sure to be designed for improvement on the company’s last smartphone. Here we hope that Sony will bring to the table with Xperia 1 III.

1. Low cost

The Sony Xperia 1 II is especially popular in the US. Especially expensive for people. You are a U.S. citizen. The variant that you can buy in doesn't have 5G functionality - a major driving force in phone prices - it still costs 250 250 more than the launch price of the Xperia 1.

Here are a few additional improvements, but it's a significantly higher price for Sony's latest price and we hope the company reconsiders that arrive for the Xperia 1 III, despite the potentially higher price we've heard rumors (see the beginning of this article) .

2. 5G worldwide

This is a simple matter, but the U.S. The Xperia 1 II does not feature 5G connectivity when released in. Other markets around the world, including the UK, have 5G connectivity by default.

Exactly why this happened is not specified by Sony, but it is a feature that is soon to become standard on various smartphones. We want to see Sony embrace 5G technology worldwide for its upcoming flagship.

3. Hold the 3.5mm headphone jack

Sony has a big selling point that the Xperia 1 II has a headphone jack. If you want to be able to use a wired headset with your smartphone, the Xperia 1 II is one of the best flagship options on the market that offers you the option.

The company made a fantastic choice to drop the headphones on the Xperia 1, but then brought it back for the Xperia 1 II. We’d like to see Sony hold onto the headphone jack for its next release.

4. Keep 21: 9

Also, this is a unique feature of Sony phones and is obviously something that fans are sympathetic to as well. We’d love to see Sony continue its 21: 9 scope, but hopefully see more content to watch or play available next year or maake the technology worthwhile.

5. Enter a high level of refresh rate

This is similar to 5G because it is a feature that we see becoming standard on various competing smartphones but we are not here. That’s a great omission of a leading phone.

We would love to see Sony adopt a high level of refreshment, especially if it can combine that with an amazing 4K display that can offer the best screen experience on a smartphone.

6. Make it easy to catch

The back of the Sony Xperia 1 II is made of glass, and is fitted with its long stand, which can make it difficult to hold the phone.

We'd love to see Sony look around the corners of the phone, or install something that makes you more confident holding it with one hand without throwing it away.
